Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy
SAVELLI'S IS NOT NECESSARILY CLOSED IN THE EVENT THAT YOUR SCHOOL SYSTEM HAS CANCELED SCHOOL.
Should Savelli's cancel classes due to inclement weather, we will leave a message on our voicemail, send an email to all of our families, and update our website and social media accounts.
If we do not cancel classes, but you feel it is too risky to drive, we understand. However, due to how our classes are scheduled for the year, we cannot give our students extra make-up classes for classes that have been canceled or that they miss. You are welcome to come and make-up the class(es) in a class that is similar in age and level at your convenience. Feel free to ask about which classes can be used as make-ups.
PLEASE NOTE: There are many days that the public and private school systems have off. We still have classes on those days! Our days off are listed on our website under the Info + Important Dates tab. On all other days, classes are in session unless we notify you otherwise.
Visitation Policy
Savelli's has an open-door visitation policy, which means that we do not have on particular day when all of the parents are invited in. This can be intimidating to even the most experienced of students. Instead, after the classes are established—usually about 6 weeks into our session—and the students are acclimated to the routine, other students, and teacher, feel free to schedule a visitation with our front desk staff. Please observe the following guidelines:
- One visitation per term, please.
- No younger siblings running around the room.
- Please do not carry on a conversation with other moms who might be visiting.
- Please do not correct your child or any other child in the class.
- Please turn off your cell phone.
- Please do not come or go while class is in session. If you cannot stay for the entire class, please leave when the children are changing shoes.
We're sure you can see that these guidelines are designed to keep the children from being distracted so they can get the most out of the time you have provided for them at our studio.
For our parents who wonder why we don't have a viewing window available, when family members are in the waiting room watching at the window, the noise level is so high that it distracts the children. They can see and hear you and have a tendency to pay more attention to what's happening outside than what's going on in class.
We don't want you to think that we are trying to exclude you. We appreciate your desire to know what's going on, but our first priority is to make sure all of the children get the most out of our time together.
Thank you for your understanding.
Withdrawal Policy
- Notice of withdrawal needs to be received in writing no less than one week prior to the next scheduled tuition due date (first of the month).
- No refunds are given.
- Make-up classes are the student's responsibility. No financial adjustments are made for missed classes.
